Waterfall Hikes Near Afton, OK

Afton is an old Route 66 stop near Grand Lake, and two waterfalls land inside its radius. Shoal Creek Falls is a half-mile walk, easy going, with dogs allowed. McSpadden Falls runs about a mile out and back. Neither hike takes an hour of walking, so the trip becomes the drive itself, through Green Country hills and lake coves. Check water levels after a dry spell, since small creeks up here shrink to a trickle by late summer.
